Paula Seakan was born and raised in Utica, New York, the youngest of 13 children. Her knowledge of marketing and the trade show industry started early in her childhood, while working in her family's carwash manufacturing business.

Paula earned an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Travel and Tourism form Herkimer County Community College, and then worked in the tourism industry in Syracuse, New York before relocating to Las Vegas in 1992. In 1994, she joined USA Hosts, a destination management company, and began her work in the special event arena. She later joined Onstage Entertainment, coordinating corporate events, and in 1997 began a successful stint as Director of Marketing for Baskow & Associates, where she created and implemented every aspect of their marketing plan. She was highly instrumental in increasing company profits, and secured some of the firm's largest accounts, including several Fortune 500 companies.

In 2001, Paula and partner Allison Copening opened Spotlight Creative, Inc., offering marketing, public relations and special event services. In 2002, Paula sold her portion of the company to her partner, but continues to work as an independent marketing and special events consultant.

Paula's extensive experience culminates in every aspect of marketing, destination management and special events, including database management, advertising, direct cold-call marketing, show production, theme parties and trade show booth development. She continues to fine-tune her marketing and communication skills through memberships with Toastmasters International and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Paula is also a member of the American Marketing Association and Working in Communications.

Paula is not just a survivor but a thriver with an infectiously positive outlook on life who, despite various challenges, has been able to adapt to and overcome, largely without a script, mentor or guidance to lead her. Overcoming and thriving in the aftermath of heartbreak and tragedy has driven Paula and led her to embrace her real purpose on Earth - to share the lessons learned along the way in order to save people the pain, money and frustration she endured. Providing people with a plan and giving them the resources and skills to navigate the difficult issues many are facing or likely to face is what drives Paula. She is mindful of her singular passion - using the difficulties she has triumphed over to help other people choose a life of relentless happiness.
Family

Being the youngest of thirteen children in a catholic family had huge effect on Paula and left an indelible mark on her as a person. Though she often jokes about being a “recoveringCatholic”, the experience of growing up as the baby in such a large family certainly taught her a little about being resilient. Paula has experienced many obstacles, challenges and personal crisis in her life and some of those events have yielded remarkable benefits. Divorce, open heart surgery, stroke and losing a spouse are part of her story but the resilience found to continue moving forward with an infectious, positive, loving perspective is what defines Paula and motivates her to share herself with you and the world.
Experience

Her life experience and the tools she has acquired, along with the strategies she has developed to truly overcome the things thrown your way, are what Paula loves to share with people. Her story is one filled sadness, loss, grief and adversity but each of these has provided her with lessons that can enable others to thrive on an even greater scale than Paula herself has. With no help, no direction and no roadmap to dealing with grief, it took Paula eight long years to finally get rid of her late husband’s belongings and move forward, let go and embrace the hopeful life ahead.
Relationships

After her husband died in a tragic work related accident, Paula was left to pick up the pieces, not only losing her husband but also losing a relationship with her stepson. After her husband’s shocking death, she learned firsthand how grief is a very difficult thing to face alone and there is a better way to approach the aftermath of a loved one’s death than what she experienced. Shortly after her husband died, Paula suffered a debilitating stroke that she is still recovering from. Having already gone through a grueling open heart surgery several years prior, Paula was prepared to overcome another major health scare and add it to the list of obstacles that merely serve to make her stronger and more prepared to help others.

Years ago I was living a good life. I was healthy, happily married, living and traveling debt free in Europe. Then, the bottom fell out like it does for so many people. I asked and asked, “How do people do this? How do they pick up the pieces?”

My journey, just like so many other people’s journeys has some tough days, some incredible days and quite a bit of trial and error. Finally, I had an “aha moment” when I was talking with a friend who just had the bottom fall out. I realized this conversation was the piece I never had and if he needed this conversation then many others do too.

I launched the Academy because there needs to be a place where people, caregivers, and business can go when they are faced with a change, crisis, or trauma to learn how people pick up the pieces. When we work together we all get back up stronger.

BRUCE VAN HORN is a bestselling author, speaker, thought leader, transformational life coach, business and leadership coach, marathon runner, and cancer conqueror. Respected for his insight, Bruce also hosts the "Life Is A Marathon" podcast, and has listeners in over 200 countries around the world.

Bruce is passionate about sharing his life experiences and respected insight to help people overcome their negative thinking and limiting beliefs, and develop a winning mindset. Bruce loves coaching people to become the fullest expression of who they were created to be. He lives in Richmond, Virginia.

Bruce Van Horn

The foundation for all of my work is based on two passages from the Bible:

  • Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. – Hebrews 12:1
  • Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. – Romans 12:2

I’ve learned that I cannot control many things about my life, but I can control how I respond to everything. I spent a good portion of my adult life simply reacting from day to day, situation to situation. I know how it feels when just getting through the day is a good day. I’ve also learned that living that way was a choice I was making, not something that was being forced upon me.

I’ve learned a lot about myself in my journey to take back control of my life. I’ve learned that, despite circumstances, I can live passionately and intentionally.

While I am good at many things, I operate in my “sweet-spot” when I’m helping people, and businesses, discover their purpose and passion for life. When I’m coaching people to put the “extra” in their ordinary life and turn it into the extraordinary life they want and are capable of living. Much of my writing and speaking is around this topic because it is my passion!

My old life had a lot of visible, but invisible moments.

Having a Dad who raised me around the Hollywood Elite, I went to college to study Film + Television, entering the world I was very familiar with at age 20.

There were fun moments, sure. But there were also really hard ones. Like my acting coach, {well known actress, actually} who told me I wasn't pretty enough + was too overweight to ever be on camera.

So, as any young lady not totally sold on her worthiness would do, I retreated into the shadows...for awhile.

I became a Stand-In for well-known tv shows like "Melrose Place", "Numbers", "Pretty Little Liars" + "Chuck". I would have little glimpses...moments of just a smidge of limelight, where I'd run away again. I was in the environment - close enough to touch it, but too afraid to truly step out on my own.

I remember the day I got the call that 1. My song was going to be on "Pretty Little Liars" for their 100th episode, + 2. The TV pitch pilot I had written was a 'go' to shoot. Was I ecstatic? YES. Did I believe I would succeed? NO.

It took a lot of time for me to realize that I was *this* close to my purpose. That I'd gone through all of this muck because I was destined to help other women with similar wounds + nerves step out onto their deserved red carpet! And then...

I started treading water in the crazy sea of online entrepreneurship
I realized I had huge gifts of administration + soaked up every piece of information I craved like a sponge
I built e-courses, sites, systems + brands with ease
I coached women how to rock their livestreams
I showed them how to create gorgeous, impactful videos
My rudderless ship of life transformed into a steel vessel {with a heck of a captain's chair} - with a clear course charted ahead.

I never want another woman to feel that powerless, lost or like a failure. That's why I pull them out of that world + into this beautiful one that I created. A world full of self-love, chosen joy + purposeful abundance.

The kicker? The power's been inside of us all along!

Over the last 3 years, I’ve completely transformed my life. 3 years ago, I was 18 years old just graduated out of high school and fresh off my first break up. My first girlfriend had broken up with me for another guy. This heart break led me down the path of self-improvement where I discovered how I could improve my social skills and confidence. I remember spending hours daily talking to people and basically trying to pick up girls. Over time, I’ve achieved some success and gave me the confidence to take greater risks. At that time, I lived in Hawaii where I grew up all my life. In 2015, I left my hometown of Hawaii to Chicago to transfer schools. And then from that time, I continued on the path. I’ve later lost 40 lbs in 8 months and dropped 12 % body fat. In February of 2016, I was fired from my job. Frustrated and confused, I started my first website/blog. At first, I didn’t see much success. Later, I got 2 part time jobs working at Starbucks and a retail Jewelry store. For a few weeks, I even took a part time job as a Grocery Shopper to get some money to afford a living, while trying to start my entrepreneurial journey. Over the past 3 months, I’ve launched my fitness consulting business. I’ve helped a handful of clients with their transformation in losing weight, gaining their self-confidence and integrating it as a part of their lifestyle. I’ve also helped a few people launch their first service based consulting business.

This has led me to quit my 2 jobs and drop out of school at the age of 21 as a full-time entrepreneur. This is a dream I’ve wanted for awhile. I could recall just dreading class and school because of how unpractical it seemed to me.

Recently I’ve traveled to San Diego for Brendon Burchard’s Live Event. And tomorrow, I’ll be off to LA for another online entrepreneurial event and next week in NYC. The life of an entrepreneurial living a life of adventure, travel, impact and fulfilment is coming alive. I’ve recently started my own community called The Lean and Wealthy Community where I help entrepreneurs integrate fitness effortlessly into their lifestyle & create abundance in wealth. My goal is to have a huge impact on the world and I see this community as a medium to do that.

Over the years I have embarked on my own journey to understand who I am and what my path is in this life. That journey has led me to Facial Intelligence and Coaching. When I first was “coached” I realized how much I was trying to do on my own and how relieved I was to have someone else help guide me in the direction I wanted to go. I still had a lot to do on my own, believe me, but boy was it easier with some encouragement and some insight from someone else.

Then one day, quite by accident, I stumbled onto Face Reading and it profoundly changed my life. For the first time in my life, I saw myself in a new and awe-inspiring light. I was able to accept the parts of me that I thought I hated, that I thought made me weak. I was able to see those weaknesses as opportunities to become strengths by learning how to work with them rather than push against them. Face Reading taught me how to relate to my husband and my children on a whole new, incredibly beautiful and accepting level. My relationships have never been better and I love my life and who I have become because of Facial Intelligence and Coaching.

As a result of my personal experiences with Coaching and Facial Intelligence I have studied them both extensively and combined both of those profound works into a Holistic Coaching format that combines all of my knowledge and experience for you.

I have come to realize that I want to be the guide that shows you all of the main attractions in your life. I want to be the one who sees your best you, even when you don’t and keeps you on the path to the life you want and deserve. Everyone needs a little help along the way in life sometimes. Even the best athletes and business people in the world have coaches and trusted advisers to keep them on their game and be the voice of reason and strength in difficult times, or the voice of appreciation and praise when things are going well. Like it or not, we travel this journey of life with many other people.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone in your corner who understands the story of you and your face and that of those around you to make your journey the best that it can be? I would be honoured to be your guide.

Michelle Butt, Facial Intelligence Expert™ and Master Coach, helps people reach a deep and profound understanding of themselves and their relationships.

CommissionCrowd's three Founders - Laura McGregor, Ryan Mattock and Alistair Robinson - decided that it was time to move the commission based sales industry out of the dark ages and set out on a challenging mission to save company Principals and independent sales agents time, resources, stress and money by building simple, awesome software dedicated entirely the commission-only sales industry.

Previously, CommissionCrowd's Founders had owned and run the UK branch of a large U.S. based digital Marketing company. Their first interaction with commission only sales agents began when they decided it was time to extend their company's reach in the Marketplace by partnering with self-employed sales agents. That's where the problems started: Where do you start looking for experienced self-employed sales agents, who were these people, did they exist and if so, what did they expect from a company before agreeing to work with them?

It took a few years of trial and error to start growing their team and they lost many wonderful sales agents along the way. It was simply too difficult to find great sales partners and became too time consuming to effectively manage their relationships with their independent sales team. Their sales reps also felt the strain of manually managing a remote working partnership and as a result of too much of their time being taken away from the ability to concentrate on selling, they began to leave. They knew there must be a better way.

You see, sometimes you have to be a part of the problem in order to become a part of the solution. The team knew that they had the resources and experience to set out to create something that would not only solve the problem for both companies and independent sales agents, but to go beyond that and create a revolutionary online service that would change the face of commission-only sales forever.

David Hooper is an author, radio host, and marketing expert who works

with entrepreneurs and brands to build their authority and influence

to increase sales and more effectively spread their messages.

The story starts a few years ago…

I released a book called Six-Figure Musician – How to Sell More Music, Get More People to Your Shows, and Make More Money in the Music Business. As the title suggests, it was written for musicians and the people who work with them — managers, record labels, etc.

I was entrenched in the music business, over the years working with hundreds of acts, from bands just getting started to legendary artists you’ve heard and probably own music by. I’ve seen all aspects of how “celebrity” is created and maintained, from street and media promotion, to live event production, to the behind-the-scenes of film and television.

But after 20 years in the trenches, I was done. I wanted new challenges.

And that’s how I got here.

The same techniques I’ve used to help musicians to grow their fanbases, spread their music, and make money in the music business will work to help authors, bloggers, and podcasters grow their audiences, spread their work, and make money in their businesses.

The music business, more than any other industry, has been changed by technology and how entertainment is now consumed. We were the “pioneers” who had to figure out how to work with illegal downloads, changing distribution methods, and how to get attention for our work in a crowded marketplace of more entertainment choices than ever.

And we did.

As a creative professional, it’s easy to get lost in the crowd. If you need help standing out (and making money while doing it), you’re in the right place.
