I’ve been labelled by others my entire life. At the age of 12 it was “class clown”. I’ve been called a jock, geek, rock star, and ladies man. And these labels don’t even scratch the surface of what some of those closest to me have called me. From the time I was 12, I was drinking and drugging – and as you know – it brought me to my knees. To my lowest low. From businessman to thief. From sitting in an office to sitting in a cell.

Then in 2012, I took on a new label: Recovering Addict. I got clean with the 12 steps….and then I had to conquer one of the hardest tasks.

What comes next?!?

At every meeting I went to, in every article I read, every mentor I reached out to – there were no spotlights on how to create my most amazing life. The possibility that I, and all the recovering addicts, would once again be rock stars – confident, happy, successful – wasn’t even whispered. Instead it felt like we were doomed to this label, this history. It was time to step out of the church basements and into the 5 star convention centers; move beyond just clean and sober into CLEAN AND SUPER.

I’m here to shout it from every stage I stand on, in every coaching call I have – you are not someone else’s labels. Your whole life is still in front of you, regardless of your age. That is why I created Live Beyond Clean: Transforming Your Tomorrow.

My job is to give you information you can put in your bucket. Everyone has a bucket they carry around with simple phrases and concepts in it. They have a lot of meaning behind them, more than the simple form that's carried around.

I take financial, business, and personal concepts and put them into a form that you can easily understand and carry around in your bucket. You take them out as needed to use in your business and personal life.

“Self-Protection Concepts, llc” was formed in 2012, to provide, in exchange for appropriate compensation, the service of educating the general public, in the concept of, reasons for, and techniques to protect themselves from physical attack. These techniques have their immediate origins in the material taught in a cllection of martial arts

The martial arts material is a combination of my training in Uechi-ryu/Pangai-noon (Okinawan Karate), Hapkido, Taekwondo, and Kobudo.
Self-Protection Concepts is an out growth of my desire to help others not become statistics.

Self-Protection Concepts foundational concept is that:
Criminals choose their victims;
I can make it less likely that a person will be chosen to be a victim of a violent crime;
I can teach people how to defend themselves when they are attacked.

In an ideal world, we would all work together, helping each other to achieve our dreams.
But this is the real world: sometimes people find themselves in danger from others.

Hey, I'm Tim. I'm a husband and a father, first and foremost. I've spent years in the podcasting space, learning everything I could about what makes a podcast great and truly gets results. Prior to getting into this arena, I spent my time touring the country with a band of my best friends (including Liam, one of our project managers here). We got the opportunity to play on MTV, at the Bamboozle, on Warped Tour, and various other opportunities for not-so-humble brags.

My background is in sales and marketing - both online and off - and that's allowed me to help podcasters get amazing results. I've also been the voice for many incredible companies like TOMY Toys, Disney, AT&T, The Travel Channel, The UFC, Expedia, Honda, and more. I'm a nerd, and wouldn't have it any other way... and I eat, sleep, and breathe Syracuse sports (GO ORANGE!)

Duana C. Welch, Ph.D. (pronounced DWAY-nuh; born Nov. 14, 1968) is the relationship advice columnist known for applying social science research to reader questions about a variety of romantic-relationship issues. Her blog, “LoveScience: Research-based relationship advice for everyone” is a best-seller in the relationship and behavioral science categories at Amazon.com, and is also available free at www.LoveScienceMedia.com. Duana launched LoveScience in 2009. She’s also a regular contributor at Psychology Today and eHarmony, where she muses about relationship science. Duana’s book, Love Factually: 10 Proven Steps from I Wish to I Do, released in January, 2015; it is the first science-based book to take readers from before they meet until they commit to The One.

Duana Welch earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology at the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1998. Her prior psychology degrees included a master’s from the University of Florida in 1995, and a bachelor’s from Southwestern University at Georgetown, TX, in 1991. Upon attaining her doctorate, Welch served as an assistant professor at California State University, Fullerton from 1998-2004, where she taught and conducted research that resulted in numerous peer-reviewed scientific psychology articles. While there, Welch was twice voted Professor Of The Year by CSUF psychology students in 2001 and 2003. A family illness resulted in her return to her home state of Texas, where she became an adjunct professor of psychology at Austin-area colleges and universities prior to launching LoveScience in 2009. She taught psychology for seven years at Austin Community College, where she received the NISOD Teaching Excellence award in 2012. Additionally, Welch has more than a decade of experience in private consultations with clients who want to find, date or commit to a long-term partner.

Like other advice columns, LoveScience answers reader queries about any aspect of romantic love. However, LoveScience is the only relationship advice column based in social science rather than opinion, experience, clinical expertise, politics, or religion—to provide actionable advice for its readers. It is also the only such forum where the author regularly answers reader questions not only in the posts, but also in the comments after each post, so that readers have an on-going, respectful dialogue with the author and with one another.

When not responding to reader queries, Duana Welch enjoys living in Eugene, Oregon, where she resides with her husband, daughter, and assorted critters. Her hobbies include hiking with her dog, embracing her inner nerd, and sampling dark chocolate.

My name is Vinnie Tortorich, Celebrity Fitness Trainer, speaker, podcaster and best-selling author of Fitness Confidential: Adventures in the Weight-Loss Game.

Some call me “America’s ANGRIEST Trainer”. Why am I so angry? Because your good intentions have been stolen! You have been duped! Yes, despite all your good honest efforts you just keep gaining weight and feeling worse.

Does this sound familiar? ‘No matter how much I exercise and how ‘healthily” I eat, I can’t seem to keep the weight off or my cholesterol’s too high or my arthritis/allergies are giving me trouble or my knees/back hurts or I have sleep apnea….” I hear this over and over again and I KNOW it doesn’t have to be this way. There is a solution, they just don’t want you to know it. That, ladies & gentlemen, is why I’m angry.

I’ve been a personal trainer to people from all walks of life for thirty years. I’ve trained Hollywood celebrities, captains of industry, stay at home moms, working moms, pregnant moms, ultra athletes, Ironman triathletes, injured and post surgical clients and even children with the beginnings of a weight problem.

I love my work and I live to see my clients enjoying the benefits of my training and the feelings of well being that fitness gives them, they are all thriving. But hey, not everyone is lucky enough to have me breathing down their neck, yelling “Step away from the pizza!”. As I look around me and see the American people getting fatter and sicker instead of fitter and healthier, I wonder what messages they are getting about fitness and nutrition and where those messages are coming from.

At just nine years old, I used to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to practice hitting a baseball up and down our street. That competitive spirit led to winning a national championship at just ten years old and then becoming an Olympian at twenty-one.

For the past forty years, I’ve been a professional student of human achievement. I’ve been driven by this unshakable question: why do some people succeed and others fail?

After retiring from professional competition, I went back to school to earned advanced degrees in health and wellness. In the decades since then, I’ve worked with athletes in nearly every professional sport, Olympic gold medalists, and millionaire entrepreneurs. I’ve had a front-row seat as I watched these world-class achievers do what they do.
